Multi-faith Community Action Workshop - North side, Sunday 27 August

He Qui - The Great Commission

How can communities of faith respond with compassion and justice, guided by teachings that call us to treat others as we want to be treated, to welcome the stranger and recognise the dignity of all people?

Love Makes a Way and the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre present a workshop on how to change the conversation about people seeking asylum by opening hearts and minds within our communities. The workshop introduces language and strategies for how to have value-based conversations informed and motivated by your faith with family, friends, fellow community members and people of influence about the issues that impact people seeking asylum. It will also be a chance to meet likeminded people who may want to take a collective approach in your community. Workshops are interactive, with practical and inspiring ways for all of us to be part of making a change.

(NB: Venue is wheelchair accessible, afternoon tea will be provided - gluten and dairy free options available)
