Abby McCarthy rsvped for Conversation Project Handover, Eltham, November 26 2017-10-19 08:25:30 +1100
In this practical half-day Conversation Project Handover we will share the tools, strategies and logistics for coordinating values-based conversation projects that shift community attitudes on the rights of people seeking asylum.
Bringing together people from the electorates of Jagajaga, Scullin and beyond, this will be a great opportunity to reconnect with, and perhaps meet for the first time, others in the area who wish to drive change and collaborate strategically.
Running a conversation project is a strategic way of targeting people you want to support the rights of people seeking asylum, and in the lead up to the next federal election provides a strong evidence base to prove to your community and MP that people want our to Government respond fairly and humanely.
We look forward to seeing you there! Any questions feel free to contact Gayle and Joel by emailing firstname.lastname@example.orgWHENNovember 26, 2017 at 1pmWHERETBC

We are a community that stands up for freedom, fairness, and dignity for all.
Last year, communities across the country stood with people seeking asylum to demand our leaders #LetThemStay, and the Government had no choice but to back down on its threats to deport people seeking protection in Australia back to harm on Nauru and Manus Island.
The Government has now begun its second attempt to force people living in our community back to Nauru and Manus Island, without any plan for a safe future for the people who have already been imprisoned there for more than four years.
Join us in standing with people seeking asylum in our community and in our Government's care offshore. Sign up and join the movement by calling your local MP to demand the Government #LetThemStay!
